Christianson Photography was thrilled to volunteer professional photography services to support the "Series of Fortunate Events" hosted by Arts Access. Arts Access, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to increasing access to North Carolina's thriving arts community for children and adults with disabilities. You can visit http://artsaccessinc.org/ for more information.
On May 3, we photographed distinguished guests at the Opening Night Gala which was held at the Laurelbrook in Raleigh, NC. Raleigh mayor Nancy McFarlane was a guest speaker.
On May 4, Christianson Photography photographed artwork displayed during the First Friday Reception, held at the United Arts Council on Glenwood Avenue. We were honored to capture the artists and their respective creations.
On May 5, we photographed four great bands for the Arts Access Concert held in the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh. In addition to capturing the headliner group Castle Wild, we also photographed Greenville-based Built For Comfort as well as local groups Carolina Lightnin' and 3WB.
On May 10, Christianson Photography captured the film screening of The Shape of Water at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Raleigh. A rousing discussion about the film and how differently-abled individuals are represented in movies made for interesting photos.
On May 12, we photographed the Kid's Art Exhibition at the Sertoma Art Center in Raleigh. Children and their families created fanciful make-and-takes in the art center, and crafted beautiful chalk squares on the walking path adjacent to the center.
Finally, on May 16, we were able to visually capture amazing moments at the Theatre Showcase, held at Theatre in the Park, Raleigh. The actors put on amazing theatrical performances.
Photographs from these events will be available for viewing at ChristiansonPhotography.com later this month.
